Most of Yan Peiming’s oil painting works are huge black and white portrait paintings, you will been shocked and have fear at first sight. These characters faces were been painted out wildly and haphazardly, as if they are mummies, as if they are rubber or leather masks which had been stretched out and distorted in S & M games, they were seemed strange and weird, paradoxical, dark, angry, terrible, full of strength as well as sadly.
Yan Pei Ming is specializes in the creation of huge size oil paintings, he like to create two-color paintings, most of his oil painting works are portraits. His oil painting works have participated in the Venice Biennale and other important international art exhibition.
In the evening of February 11, 2009, Yan Peiming held an art exhibition themed “Mona Lisa’s Funeral” in Louvre, France. In this exhibition, Yan Peiming with gray tone, with projection-like manner, celebrated a funeral for Mona Lisa. He extended the mystical background Mona Lisa lived in, dotted with numerous skull heads. On both sides of the Mona Lisa there is the self-portrait of Yan Peiming, the side face to face is his withered aging father, who is witnessing the death of his son.
Chinese artist Yan Peiming is the first modern artist who is still alive and can held an individual art exhibition in Louvre.
About Artist Yan Peiming:
Mr.Yan Peiming, who was born in Shanghai in 1960; In 1980 moved to Dijon, France;
1981-1986: studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Dijon, France;
1988-1989: Studied at the Paris Advanced Institute of Plastic Arts in Paris, France;
1993-1994: Studied at France College in Rome, Italy;
1995-now: Act as a professor at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Dijon, France.

During June 19 to October 11, 2009, Yan Pei Ming launched his individual art exhibition themed with “Landscape in Childhood” in Lawrence Contemporary Art Centre in Beijing, with 34 paintings of huge size children portraits, he explained his understanding on poverty, hunger, inequality and war.

The oil painting work “No Title, 2″ is obvious draw lessons from Cubist painting techniques. However, the work reveals charms of Chinese paintings entirely. About Artist Shi Hu:
Mr. Shi Hu, who was born in 1942 in Xushui county, Hebei Province, China;
In 1958, Shu Hu was admitted to enter the Beijing School of Arts and Crafts;
In 1960, to enter Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts;
In 1962, joined the army as a soldier;
In 1968, acted as a teacher in Beijing School of Arts and Crafts;
In 1969, began to engage in ivory carving and other craft;
In 1977, incumbent at People’s Publishing House of Fine Arts;
In 1978, visited 13 countries in Africa, when returned his publication of the Art Collections of African Paintings from Nature shortly, and received much attention.
In 80’s, 20th century, artist Shi Hu became one of representatives in Chinese artists, he held a number of art exhibitions successfully. From the 90s in the 20th century, Shi Hu began to achieve great success in overseas art world, and become one of the world’s most influential Chinese artists, whose artworks record breaking high prices in the international market for many times.
His representative work “Yuen Teng Map” (350 × 899cm) with unique heavy colors create a performance of the modern history of Chinese people save the nation from extinction and struggle for survival, the picture is unparalleled resplendent, this work was collected by a overseas Chinese with 8,000,000 HKD in 1995.
In 1996, with the support of Mr. Zhu Dequn, abstract master, Lifetime Art of Academician of French Institute, as well as a number of famous artists in domestic and abroad, Mr. Shi Hu was selected as the President of World Chinese Artists Association.
In 2004, the People’s Fine Arts Publishing House named 20 Chinese painters in 20th century, ,Qi Baishi, Xu Beihong, Liu Haisu, Li Keran and other art masters were selected, and the same time artist Shi Hu is also ranked.

About Artist Wang Huai-qing:
Mr. Wang Huai-qing, who was born in 1944 in Beijing, former name Wang Huai. Studied in the Central Academy of Fine Arts and received a bachelor’s degree in 1969, and received a master’s degree in 1981. In 1987-1988 was as a visiting scholar at the United States OCU University. Now Wang Huai-qing is a first-grade artist in Beijing Academy of Painting, member of Chinese Artists Association, director of China Oil Painting Institute.
